STORY 2

I used the Wally Wood method to create a few panels which could be part of my story. However I don't want my story to be in a comic style so this wont be used in my story.

This is one of the ideas for my story. Mr Popin will go after the Balloon Bear to try and ruin birthday parties and pop his balloons. But the Balloon Bear's friends help him create a giant balloon which will suck Mr Popin in and take him into space.

SECOND SESSION

Today we played around with our character's body parts. Drawing them then changing them around to create weird creatures.

We also played "consequences". Creating silly stories which sometimes didn't make sense. These were done by each person writing a sentence then folding the paper.

These exercises were very helpful to get my brain thinking about what kind of character i'm creating and what kind of story i want to tell.

ILLUSTRATING

Changing the look of Mr Popin.

Balloon Bear with acrylic and ink.

STORY

In Darren's class we started to think about a possibility for a story. Using one of the story archetypes as a base for the theme.
I created a new character, Mr Popin who will be the villain in the story. He is always after the balloon bear, he likes to ruin birthday parties by popping the balloons.

CHARACTER

This is my idea for a character. A balloon animal. Maybe a teddy bear.

OKIDO

FIRST SESSION

In the first session we were set the task to create characters which belonged to a certain habitat. Using only coloured paper (blue and red).

These were my characters. Little book and the clever cat who lived in the library.

All the work was put together at the end of the day to create a long book of characters.
